One day awareness cum training programme on "Protection of Plant Variety and Farmers' Right Act- 2001" was held at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Junagadh Agricultural University, Pipalia (Rajkot-II), Gujarat on February 26, 2016.  In which total 124 farmers from 23 villages, covering 5 Talukas out of 7 Talukas of KVK Operational area had participated in this training programme. Dr. N.B. Jadav, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Pipalia highlighted the achievements and various activities carried out at the centre in brief.

    Dr. A.M. Parakhia, DEE, JAU, Junagadh in his key note address informed participants about the importance of the programme and emphasized on more horizontal spread of protection of plant variety act by farmers. At the end of the programme participants appreciated the information they received on the different topics.
