In it's 8th edition of award, In award ceremony, Award was conferred by Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture GOI, Shri Radha Mohan Singh Ji and Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra group, Shri Anand Mahindra. Award was received by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. A R Pathak, Director of Extension Education, Dr A M Parakhia; Dr V. P. Chovatia, Director of Research, JAU, Junagadh  and Senior Scientist and Head KVK JAU Surendranagar, Dr Mahendra Singh Chandawat. This award was conferred for contribution in the field of agriculture. KVK Surendranagar has been promoted use of Biopesticide for cost effective management of pest and diseases.  Especially use of Sawaj beauveria bassiana for control of pink bollworm in Cotton crop and use of  Trichoderma for management of stem rot in groundnut crop and also encouraged farmer for seed production of chickpea on large scale for self-reliance and higher profit.
