Inter collegiate competition of Badminton, Table tennis and weight lifting  organized by College of Agriculture for September 1-2, 2012 at  University Sports Complex, JAU, Junagadh.

         Dr. NC Patel (Hon’ble Vice Chancellor) inaugurated opening ceremony with appreciation of students for getting success in various sports events. He advised students to promote use of bicycle as it provides health, saves money and help in keeping earth pollution free. Dr. NC Patel also appealed the all players  to bring  at least three close friend on play ground. Dr CJ Dangaria (Director of Research & Dean, PG Studies) said that sportsmanship is essential virtue. Dr PV Patel (Director, Student Welfare)  quoting the success of Olympic bronze medal winner badminton player Saina Nehwal, daughter of Agricultural Scientist, asked students to take part in sports to make  academic performance brighter and stronger. Dr. AV Barad, (Principal & Dean, College of Agriculture, Host Institute of Event) welcome the dignitaries and expressed desire to get more Human resources for training and coaching of sport events of the students and particularly Girl students.
