To inculcate public speaking qualities rather than to simply convey information and also to strengthen the clarity of speech and  intonation an elocution competition is organized at College and University level at JAU.  Students take part in various competitive events at State and national level. Ms. Devani Bansi ,  student of College of Agril. Engineering & Technology, JAU, Junagadh participated in Zonal Elocution Competition organized at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapith, Rahuri (Maharashtra) on November 20, 2012 and secured SECOND position in the Competition.

Now she will participate in the National level Elocution competition to be organized on the eve of 11th Agricultural Science Congress at Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar during 7-9 February, 2013.
